Explore the 100th Meridian Museum in downtown Cozad with displays and exhibits that tell the stories of the rich heritage of early settlers as well as presenting a portrayal of contemporary life. Located on the historic Lincoln Highway the museum was completed in 1994 and is the permanent home for the Concord Touring Coach, the famous stagecoach that carried President Taft during his visits to Yellowstone National Park.

May 28 -- "Journey of Quilts of Valor" on display
June 6-7 --TRAN (Tractor Ride Across Nebraska) stops at museum to see tractors on display
August 18 -- 100th Meridian Hundred --first annual 100-mile bike race and fundraiser for the museum; Journey along the Lincoln Highway Cruise Nite in downtown Cozad
August 20 -- Geneology Workshop on how to create Family Trees and Pedigrees with Sherri Clark
August 23 -- Ag Banquet with Journey Stories theme at Chipper Hall
August 30 -- 4 p.m. Official Journey Stories exhibition opening (Cozad Ambassadors, ribbon cutting). Then travel to Elks for "Dining Car" Union Pacific Railroad Celebration with railroad music and Buffalo hors d'oeuvres.
August 30 -- Take your envelopes with postage to the Cozad Post Office. You will have each piece of mail stamped with the historic First Day Cancel, specifically designed for Cozad.
August 31 -- Noon food served by the Rotary Club at the Wilson Depot at noon. 12:15 whistle stop by the Union Pacific Challenger 844 with Golden Spike Ceremony held under the direction of Mayor Nancy Meyer. Tours of the depot provided by the United Way Board of Directors.
September 1 -- 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Lindell Whitney on Lionel Trains and Model Railroading

September 4, 5, 6 -- "Cactus" storyteller from Hollywood, CA. School children will be scheduled.

September 8 -- Journey Through the Ages is the theme for the Hay Days Parade.
September 9 -- Museum open
September 10 -- 10 a.m to 2 p.m. Jeff Kappeler as Swedish immigrant Frederick Andersson presents Away and Across the Plains: Pioneer Trails through Nebraska
September 11 -- "Club Car" catered luncheon 11 am at Chipper Hall with Jeff Kappeler presentation. $10 for lunch. Reservations at Chamber of Commerce
September 12 -- Jefff kappeler presentations
September 13 -- The Thursday Afternoon Musicale from 2-4 pm
September 14 -- Ag Day for 4th & 5th graders at Armstead Farm (not open to the public)
September 15 -- Ag Day for families at the Armstead Farm featuring draft horses, antique farming demonstrations and more. Events start at 12:30 p.m. (41841 W Railroad Drive. directions: drive north from the interstate to the base of the Cozad railroad overpass, turn west on 2nd, go around the corner to Railroad, turn west for 1 mile
September 16 -- Homestead Acres Day at John Jordening's "Ogorsolka Homestead" at 1 pm with events and activities for families including rail splitting, washboard clothes washing, old time ball game and buffalo stew.
September 17 -- Growing Up on the Homestead with John Jordening from 9-2:30 for children from 3rd and 4th grades
September 18 -- Homesteading with John Jordening from 9 -2:30 for children from 3rd and 4th grades
September 20 -- Thursday Afternoon Musicale from 2 -4 pm
